Liverpool have confirmed the loan of young right-back Calvin Ramsay to League One side Bolton for the remainder of the season.
Calvin William Ramsay (born 31 July 2003) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Bolton Wanderers on loan from Liverpool. And the Scotland national team.
On 13 June 2023, after having had his appearances limit for Liverpool. Ramsay was sent on loan to EFL Championship club Preston North End for the 2023–24 season. He was recall by the Reds on 15 January 2024 after making two appearances during his time with Preston. And two weeks later join EFL League One side Bolton Wanderers on loan. Following in the footsteps of his Liverpool team-mates Conor Bradley and Owen Beck. Who had made the move to the Toughsheet Community Stadium in the previous season.

Ramsay was call up to the senior Scotland squad in November 2022. He made his international debut on 16 November in a 2–1 friendly defeat to Turkey.
This season, the 20-year-old right-back has been sent on loan to Preston in the Championship. But due to a knee injury, he played only 2 matches and was called back by the "Reds" in January.
Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool's manager, estimates that Ramsey's chances at Anfield in the second half may not be much because the right-back replacement now includes Conor Bradley, who has been praised. More trusting, so Ramsey was temporarily released from the team again.
Bolton manager Ian Yvette welcomed his new signing, saying: "Ramsay is a young talent full of talent. He joins Liverpool with a great reputation. And the price is considered enormous for his age.
“We want to increase options. And the competition in Ramsay's position, we are very lucky to have him join the team. Our relationship with Liverpool is already excellent. And thanks to them for their confidence in allowing Ramsay to join our team.”
